When I look at the trees I am not only reminded of my mother, but I am touched by the kindness of our precious friends. We are so blessed to have them in our lives.

I wish I could replace all the trees.
Last year we realized that we would soon be losing the trees that line our beautiful street. Unfortunately, as in many of the neighborhoods most of the trees on our block are ash trees. It saddens me to watch the trees die. Pat and I decided to plant trees in our yard to help with the replacement of the tree canopy. This summer the Rivermet Gang presented us with a gift to help us with the purchase of the trees as a memorial to my mother, Lucy McDonald, who passed away in June. With the help of the Rivermet Gang we purchased two Cleveland Pear trees for the front yard and a Thornless Hawthorn for the back yard.
When I look at the trees I am not only reminded of my mother, but I am touched by the kindness of our precious friends. We are so blessed to have them in our lives.
